The Goal
Create helpful English content for people preparing to study abroad.
The Outcome
We built a web page for English TV and Radio of diverse English-speaking countries and received heart-warming gratitude from users.
The Process & The Timeline
Why We Started the Project
GoHackers.com is a community site for people preparing to go abroad where provides information about English ability tests.
We wanted to offer English content with good quality, but it was difficult to invest in non-profitable content.
So, the aim was to build cost-efficient and high-quality English content without copyright problems.
Explore & Empathise
We tracked posts and comments written by people studying abroad in the U.S and the U.K and found that they highly recommended listening to podcasts in English.

Therefore, we strived to collect a slew of English TV and radio channels in various countries and categories.
Experiment and Execute
First off, a web page for English TV and Radio was quickly designed to open as a beta version and check feedback.
We monitored users’ feedback and co-workers’ comments on the beta version.
After the beta release, we discovered three things below.
1. We got unexpected gratitude from users.
2. Channels were suddenly unavailable as the system depended on stations.
3. Users wanted to have more broadcast.
The web page was improved to accommodate feedback and circumstances.
Furthermore, a back office was additionally designed to manage channels to prepare sudden changes and bugs.
A manual for playback errors was made.
Users were able to recommend new broadcasts.
Administrators could easily add, revise or delete channels via back office.
The Outcome: User's Comments
After I got a number of heart-warming gratitude from users,
I was pleased to know how the value of service could affect positively and effectively.
